Gas Prices Up Statewide

(Undated) — The Energy Information Administration released its weekly report yesterday on the status of petroleum inventories in the United States. The report indicates that crude oil inventories increased by 2.2 million barrels and gasoline inventories increased by 1.9 million barrels. What does that mean for the price at the pump? According to GasBuddy.com, the average price nationwide is down two cents from a week ago, to $2.63 a gallon. However, the average price statewide has seen an almost seven cent jump from a week ago to $ 2.69 a gallon. Here in Crawford County, the price is much lower at $2.55 a gallon. It’s $2.68 in Jasper County and $2.55 in Lawrence County. The price at the pump in Indiana is $2.52 a gallon. It’s $2.52 in Knox County, $2.49 in Sullivan County, and $2.46 in Vigo County.
