(Undated) – As millions of travelers take to Illinois roadways to celebrate Thanksgiving, Robinson Police Chief, Chad Weaver, reminds motorists to drive safely. The Robinson Police Department has announced plans for a traffic safety campaign focusing on impaired and unbuckled drivers. The Thanksgiving holiday weekend is generally one of the busiest travel holiday periods of the year. Weaver reminds everyone to do their part to ensure safe Thanksgiving weekend travel by keeping your eyes on the road, watching your speed, buckling your seatbelt, and if you are going to drink designate a driver. The RPD will be joining the Illinois State Police for this “high visibility” campaign which runs through December 2nd.
