(Effingham) – An Effingham man was transported to the hospital following a wreck involving a semi-truck and a Honda Civic yesterday. According to the Illinois State Police, 41-year-old Richard Beagle was in the center lane of I-57/70 passing the semi when it crossed into the center lane and struck his vehicle. Beagle was transported to St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital. Police say the driver of the semi-truck, 42-year-old David Blalock of Brinkley, Arkansas, was cited for improper lane usage.
