(Robinson) – As we all look forward to warmer weather and the end of winter, health officials are reminding the public to continue to be diligent and avoid the flu. According to the CDC, while seasonal influenza viruses are detected year-round in the United States they are most common this time of year. They remind the public that while flu activity peaks between December and February, the activity can last as late as May. Wash your hands often with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Frequently clean commonly touched surfaces. Cover your cough or sneeze with your upper sleeve.
