(Undated) – The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted a change in how local court cases are going to be handled. According to Second Judicial Circuit Judge, Chris Weber, effective immediately all in-person court hearings are postponed until further notice. These modifications include the rescheduling of many types of cases which will reduce the requirement for litigants, witnesses, jurors, and others from having to appear at the courthouse in a large gathering. Many civil court cases, minor criminal and traffic cases will be rescheduled, while more serious criminal and emergency matters will remain as scheduled.
