(Undated) – The price at the pump continues to fall as many Americans practice “social distancing” and demand falls. According to GasBuddy.com, for the fourth straight week, the national average price of gasoline has fallen, plummeting 12.8 cents over the last week to $2.08 a gallon. The average price statewide here in Illinois is down nearly six cents from a week ago hovering around $2.12 a gallon. Across the river in Indiana, the average for a gallon of regular unleaded is hovering around $1.80. Patrick DeHaan, Head of Petroleum Analysis, for GasBuddy says, as prices continue to fall at an unprecedented rate, 99 cents per gallon prices are a strong possibility.
