(Oblong) – The Village of Oblong is doing its part to help with an emergency call for donors from the American Red Cross. According to the Red Cross, they have a severe blood shortage due to the unprecedented number of blood drive cancellations. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, announced last week that the Village will be hosting an emergency blood drive this week. Healthy individuals are asked to come and make a donation tomorrow from 1-6 pm at the Oblong Municipal Building, 202 S. Range. All health and safety precautions will be followed and the Red Cross will be protective of the safety of each donor. Learn more and find the drives nearest you at redcrossblood.org.
