(Robinson) – The Robinson Police Department is looking to add to their ranks. They are now taking applications for the position of Police Officer. Starting pay for “entry-level” officers is $53,885 a year with additional considerations for “lateral transfers.” Lateral entry pertains to Illinois certified peace officers with at least 2 years of service. Laterals will be given credit for their service time and slotted as such on the longevity pay scale up to a maximum of 5 years. The application deadline is July 10th. Qualified entry-level applicants will be contacted and must attend the physical and written testing on July 18th at 9 am. Successful candidates will then be invited for interviews.
