(Undated) – A new collaboration between the CCHD and IDPH will make it easier to get tested for COVID-19. The Crawford County Health Department and the Illinois Department of Public Health are teaming up to bring a mobile COVID-19 testing unit to the county. This service is available to anyone seeking testing. Essential workers including health care, first responders, grocery store workers, anyone working with vulnerable populations as well as individuals with symptoms or those who have been in contact with known positive cases of COVID-19, are encouraged to be tested. The mobile testing unit will be located at the CCHD today and tomorrow from 8 am-4 pm. No appointment is necessary. A physician’s order is not required. There is no charge to individuals. The CCHD reminds all residents to continue to practice social distancing, wear face coverings when in public, monitor themselves for symptoms, and stay home if any COVID symptoms develop.
