(Undated) – Maybe it’s the re-opening of restaurants and bars for outdoor dining, the increase in gathering numbers, or the upcoming July 4th holiday, but officers statewide have seen an uptick in DUI arrests. Authorities across Illinois remind drivers that if you choose to party with alcohol or cannabis, designate a sober driver and don’t let friends and family members drive under the influence. Make sure everyone in your vehicle wears their seatbelt. Police departments locally and statewide will continue increased “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” patrols through July 6th.
