Sullivan Missing Person Reports Ends in Arrest

(Sullivan, IN) – A weekend report of a missing Farmersburg woman has a happy ending. According to Sullivan County Sheriff, Clark Cottom, 16-year-old Ana Pinkston was reported missing Friday. Reports indicate she had last been seen leaving her grandparent’s house around 4 pm in her boyfriend’s SUV. Sullivan County Sheriff’s investigators located both Ana Pinkston and 21-year-old Collin Kelty traveling on Route 1 in northern Clark County, Illinois. Sullivan County officials followed the white SUV northbound until units from the Edgar County Sheriff’s Office could intercept. The vehicle was stopped just outside of Paris, Illinois. Pinkston was found unharmed. Cottom said Kelty was taken into custody for violating a no-contact order. He was taken to the Edgar County Jail where he was awaiting extradition to the Sullivan County jail. The Illinois State’s Attorney Office is reviewing the case.
