Questions Remain About Back to School Plan

back-to-school
(Undated) – School officials, parents, students, and politicians are continuing to question the Governor’s plan for the return to in-person learning. Last week education leaders announced that due to COVID-19, students and teachers will be required to wear face coverings, gatherings in one place will be limited to no more than 50 people and schools must adhere to stricter cleaning and conduct regular symptom checks. State Senator, Jason Barickman, says Governor Pritzker should embrace lawmakers and work to come together to resolve some of the confusion.
Pritzker says districts will be able to set up their own plan based on these guidelines. During an Emergency Meeting Tuesday the Hutsonville Unit 1 Board hired Thomas DeVore as legal representation, as they move to set their own policies for the coming school year.
