rhs
(Robinson) – Parents of Unit 2 students now have a better idea of what to expect when the kids head back to classes next month. Unit 2 yesterday released a tentative “Back to School” plan. According to Superintendent, Josh Quick, they want to have students in the classrooms but must do so safely.
Quick says they are fortunate to have a group of parents and community members that are working on a plan for the safe return of students.
The committee is utilizing the directives issued jointly by the Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Department of Public Health to develop their plan. Those include requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment such as face coverings, social distancing will be observed as much as possible, temperature screenings will be conducted, and the school will increase school-wide cleaning and disinfection. Quick says right now On-line registration for the coming year will begin on August 1st and in-person instruction will begin on August 24th. For more information follow the link.
