(Undated) – After weeks of speculation, the addition of Mt. Carmel to the Little Illini Conference was announced yesterday. The LIC announced yesterday that an invitation has been extended and accepted by Mt. Carmel High School to join the conference starting in the 2021-2022 school year. Little Illini Conference President, Paul Higginbotham, says that the LIC is excited to add a tradition-rich school like Mt. Carmel to the conference.
