Girls Tennis Sectional Action took place over the weekend in Effingham.
Teutopolis took home first in the sectional followed by Effingham Saint Anthony, Paris, Effingham, and Casey. The Robinson Maroons finished in 6th. Mattoon, Newton, and Charleston finished in 7th place. Shelbyville finished in 10th.
For the Lady Maroons, Sarah Staller and Lucy List both qualified to be a State Qualifier with a pair of doubles match wins. Due to Covid-19, there is not an individual state final, but Coach Steve Jenkins says that it doesn’t take away from the efforts of Staller and List this season.
