(Undated) – It looks like Crawford County Rescue will be getting a new truck and trailer. County voters came out in support of a bond that would allow a temporary property tax increase to pay for the new two-hundred and fifty-thousand dollar truck and hazmat trailer. Crawford County voted against the “fair tax” and voted overwhelmingly in favor of the separation from Cook County. Earl Deckard will continue in his role as Crawford County Coroner. Deckard picked up seventy percent of the vote compared to thirty percent for Vickie Becker. The only contested County Board seat will remain Jim Keller’s, who won with sixty-seven percent of the votes over his opponent, Kimberly Simmers.
