(Robinson) – The RHS basketball season has officially been postponed. Robinson Unit 2 Superintendent, Josh Quick, issued a release yesterday saying that the Unit 2 schools would be following the guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health and Governor, JB Pritzker. On October 27th Governor, Pritzker, and the IDPH released updated guidance for winter sports which moves basketball from medium risk to high risk due to the close contact of players and indoor play. Quick says that the loss or postponement of any athletic season is extremely disappointing. However, Unit 2 intends to refocus its efforts on what they can do safely rather than on what student-athletes are missing.
