Pritzker Says He Will Not Attend Thursday IHSA Meeting

(Undated) – Illinois Governor, JB Pritzker, said he would not be attending Thursday’s meeting with the IHSA. According to Pritzker, his office relied on the best information from public health experts when deciding to postpone “winter sports.”
As it stands now, those schools choosing to participate in an IHSA basketball season can only have “no-contact practices and training.” The IHSA is expected to provide further direction Thursday. The Governor says he wants schools to play basketball in the spring.
