Gas Prices Trending Back Up

(Undated) – The recent announcements of promising COVID-19 vaccines have prompted an upward trend in gas prices. According to Head of Petroleum Analysis for GasBuddy, Patrick DeHaan, for the first time in seven weeks, on the heels of a sharp rise in oil prices, the national average price of gasoline has moved higher, posting a rise of just over a penny a gallon to $2.13. DeHaan says we’re likely to see prices inch up slightly again this week. However, ahead of Thanksgiving, prices should be mostly stable. For now, motorists shouldn’t expect too many fireworks at the pump. Here in Illinois, the current average price at the pump is hovering around $2.16 a gallon. It’s $1.96 in Indiana.
