Authorities are once again reminding the public to be on the lookout for “porch pirates” this holiday shopping season. You are reminded that if you are purchasing gifts on-line, have those items delivered to an address where you know someone will be there to accept them. Make a signature mandatory for the package, check with the shipping company about “driver instructions” or arrange to have a neighbor you trust to pick up packages that are left when you are gone. Ask to see if you can have packages delivered to you at work. If you see suspicious activity you are asked to report it to the authorities.
