COVID Count Climbs as we Return to “Tier 3” Mitigation

covid-19

(Undated) – The COVID-19 numbers continue to grow in the area. According to the latest numbers from the Crawford County Health Department, the addition of seventeen cases over the weekend brings our total to one-thousand and twenty-seven since testing began. We currently have two-hundred and sixty-nine “active” cases in the county. As of Friday much of the state of Illinois moved back to “Tier 3” mitigation measures. The restrictions will be in place for at least the next two weeks. After that, regions can move back to “Tier 2” if they achieve a low enough COVID-19 positivity rate for three days in a row, have more than 20-percent of ICU beds available, and have declining hospitalizations for seven days out of a ten-day period.
