(Robinson) – The first “brick and mortar” construction on the campus of Lincoln Trail College since 1975 got underway yesterday. According to Lincoln Trail College Coordinator of Marketing and Public Information, Chris Forde, demolition for the Theater Renaissance project began. Back in September, the IECC Board approved the winning bid for the project. The bid of $853,800 was from L.J. Swingler & Sons, Inc. of Teutopolis. COVID-19 and the weather have delayed the project. However, Forde says work should be completed early in the summer of 2021.
