(Palestine) – A false report of domestic battery has landed a Palestine woman behind bars. Palestine Police Chief, Jeff Besing, says following an investigation, twenty-six-year-old Mikayleigh Hout was arrested on a Class 4 Felony charge of Disorderly Conduct/Filing a False Police Report. According to Besing, Hout had filed a domestic battery complaint against her boyfriend in late November, which resulted in the boyfriend’s arrest. Chief Besing learned yesterday that Hout had fabricated the whole incident and through his investigation, established that Hout had provided false statements in the initial domestic battery report. Hout was booked into the Crawford County Jail.
