Tier Five Mitigation Still Months Away

(Undated) – While counties across the state are moving to less restrictive mitigation tiers, Governor, JB Pritzker, says it will be some time before the majority of counties return to “Tier Five.” Pritzker says that a move to Tier Five is unlikely until the state gets more COVID-19 vaccines.
On average 22,000 people a day in Illinois are getting vaccinated and the state says there are 3.2 million people in the current Phase 1B of the vaccination rollout. As of Monday, the state reports that just under half a million people have been vaccinated.
