IHSA Set to Meet Next Week

(Undated) – As student-athletes across the state move closer to a “return to play,” some sports appear to be in better shape to have seasons this school year than others. “Low and medium risk” sports like baseball, softball, track, volleyball, and soccer look to be in the best shape. However, questions remain about “high risk” sports like football, basketball, and wrestling. Officials with the IHSA say those sports will need to be redefined or the Governor and IDPH will have to be receptive to moving Illinois to Phase 5 of the original “Restore Illinois” plan. The IHSA Board of Directors meets next Wednesday to map out a plan for the rest of the school year.
