Hidalgo Man Arrested in Palestine

(Palestine) – A Hidalgo man was arrested in Palestine late Friday. According to Palestine Police Chief, Jeff Besing, Palestine Officer, Jake McGinness, pulled over a 2007 Buick Sedan believed to be driven by an individual wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Jasper County. Forty-three-year-old George Grove was arrested on the warrant for Violation of Bail/Bond and Retail Theft. Officer McGinness also charged Grove with Unlawful Use of Weapons. Grove was booked into the Crawford County Jail awaiting extradition to Jasper County. Officer McGinness was assisted by Crawford County Sheriff’s Deputy, Lucas Wallace, K-9 Deputy, Troy Wolf, and his K-9 partner Manny.
