(Undated) – The American Red Cross is once again “sounding the trumpet” to rally donors to give the gift of life. Record-breaking cold and winter storms across much of the U.S. have had a significant impact on blood and platelet donations. The American Red Cross is urging healthy individuals, especially those with type O blood, to give now. The recent blast of winter weather forced the cancellation of hundreds of Red Cross blood drives in 30 states and caused more than 15,000 blood and platelet donations to go uncollected. Your next chance to donate here in Crawford County is coming up Friday. The Red Cross will be set up at Cross Fit Final Call 10 am-2 pm. They will be at CMH on March 4th from 1 pm-5 pm.
