Two Sullivan County Teens Killed in Fatal Accident

(Sullivan, In) – Two people are dead following an accident in Sullivan County yesterday. According to authorities, at approximately 1:45 pm yesterday a 2002 Pontiac driven by eighteen-year-old Shelby Horton of Carlisle, was traveling eastbound on State Road 58 and disregarded the stop sign. The Pontiac proceeded into the northbound lanes of US 41 and into the direct path of a 2007 International semi-tractor-trailer driven by thirty-eight-year-old Timothy Sarver of Terre Haute. Reports indicate that Sarver applied his brakes and attempted an evasive maneuver but was unable to avoid the collision. Also killed in the accident was sixteen-year-old Connor Rodriguez of Carlisle, a passenger in the Pontiac. Sarver was uninjured. Police do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor.
