(Hutsonville) – The Hutsonville Lady Tigers and Oblong Lady Panthers squared off in Varsity Volleyball action last night. The Lady Tigers picked up the straight-sets win over Oblong 25-17, 25-19. Katie Draper finished the night with six kills. Gwen Lathrop finished the night with six digs. Tigers Head Coach, Shandy Mathews, says the girls played well enough for the win but still not to their potential. They still have little things to improve. Jayln Collier was the top scorer for the Lady Panthers finishing the night with seven points, seven kills, and fourteen aces. Grace Flexter finished the night with seven digs. Oblong will be back in action Tuesday for a road game against Martinsville. Hutsonville will next be on the court Monday when they square off against Martinsville.
