(Undated) – Voters will head to the polls today for the 2021 Consolidated Election. Today’s election is your chance to cast a ballot for school board members, aldermen, trustees for various offices, and Mayor. According to Crawford County Clerk, Fayrene Wright, voter turnout for the Consolidated Election is typically much lower than the General Elections. In 2019 only about sixteen percent of registered voters cast a ballot. That number was 24% in 2017 and just 10% in 2015. The November General Election saw near-record voter turnout with just over seventy-five percent of registered voters casting a ballot. Polls will remain open until 7 pm this evening. You will be able to catch live election coverage on 101.7 WTYE, as results become available. We will also post all results in the “Election HQ” section of WTYEfm.com.
