(Undated) – It may still be a couple of weeks before we know who won the race for Robinson Mayor. Incumbent Roger Pethtel finished last night’s Consolidated Election with four-hundred-eight votes to four-hundred-four for challenger Mike Shimer. However, according to Crawford County Clerk, Fayrene Wright, the results will not be finalized for two weeks. Wright says that will give any vote-by-mail ballots still out there time to arrive at her office. She will then re-tabulate and canvass the vote before making it official. Wright also says that because the current vote total is within the five percent margin of error, Shimer would be within his rights to request a recount.
