(Undated) – The boating season is nearly here and the IDNR is reminding boaters to stay safe. According to IDNR Deputy Director, Rachel Torbert, there was a spike in boating interest last season due to the pandemic and they expect that to carry over into this season. Torbert reminds new boaters that there are some things to think about before they hit the water.
Sober operation is also of the utmost importance. Torbert stresses having a designated operator if there is going to be alcohol on the watercraft.
