(Robinson) – The Crawford County Clerk’s Office will be busy today re-tabulating, canvassing, and certifying the results from the April 6th Consolidated Election. The race for Robinson Mayor is of particular interest. Just four votes separated incumbent Roger Pethtel and challenger Mike Shimer. Should the final official vote count be close, the losing candidate would have the right to ask for a recount. Crawford County Clerk, Fayrene Wright, says in the event of a recount, they would only recount a percentage of Robinson precincts.
Wright says both candidates would have the right to be present during any recount.
