(Undated) – The Red Cross is reminding the public that the COVID-19 vaccine should not keep anyone from donating blood. Healthy individuals are encouraged to make a blood donation appointment now. According to the Red Cross, as long as donors are symptom-free, feeling well, and can provide the vaccine manufacturer’s name, there’s no waiting period required after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine currently authorized in the U.S. Your next chance to donate here in Crawford County is coming up Monday, April 26th. The Red Cross will be set up at the Flat Rock community center from 2 pm – 6 pm. They currently have four drives scheduled throughout the county in May. Learn more at redcrossblood.org.
