(Undated) – Gas prices continue to rise. According to GasBuddy.com the price at the pump has seen a seven-cent per gallon jump in the last week, hovering around $2.92 a gallon. Head of Petroleum Analysis for GasBuddy, Patrick DeHaan, says last week saw the national average hit its highest level in two years, and with continued recovery in gasoline demand, the price increase is likely to continue. DeHaan says the question going forward is how much demand will continue to recover and rise and will it lead to record summer gasoline demand? Here in Illinois, we are already seeing prices over the three-dollar mark at $3.01 a gallon. The price at the pump remains significantly lower across the river in Indiana where it is hovering around $2.87 a gallon.
