(Undated) – The death of an individual that led police on a high-speed chase Monday is under investigation. According to the Illinois State Police, at around 9:40 pm Monday they along with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office were advised of a pursuit on I 70 westbound that would soon be entering Illinois. Reports indicate that the male subject was wanted for a recent attempted murder in Indiana and was reportedly armed. Around 9:50 pm the vehicle sustained a flat tire and traveled off of the roadway in Clark County. Authorizes secured the scene and discovered the male subject was deceased in his vehicle. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
