(Robinson) – Despite a late rally the Robinson Maroons hung on for a 7-6 win over Newton yesterday. The Eagles put up four runs in the top of the seventh but it wasn’t enough. Chris Jones gets credit for the win pitching three innings allowing four runs on five hits and striking out five. Cole Johnson pitched four innings allowing two runs on four hits and striking out four en route to the win. The Maroons will be back in action Monday for a 4:30 pm first pitch at Lawrenceville.
