We Appear to Have Moved Into a More Active Weather Pattern

(Undated) — It took a while, but severe weather impacted parts of Illinois last weekend. According to Illinois State Climatologist, Trent Ford, we shifted into a more active weather pattern last week.
Ford says the big weather story is the confirmed tornado, which touched down near Naperville.
Ford says the month of June has been slightly to much drier than normal in Illinois. He says despite some parts of the state getting as much as 3 to 5 inches of rain, portions of northwest and western Illinois are still 1 to 2.5 inches below normal for this time of the month. Here at the Classic Hits, WTYE, studio we recorded just over two inches of rain from the weekend storms.
