(Terre Haute, IN) – A memorial fund has been set up for the family of the Terre Haute Police Detective shot and killed last week. According to the Terre Haute Police Department, a memorial fund has been set up at First Financial Bank. Monetary donations can be made at any First Financial Bank location to the “Greg Ferency Memorial Fund.” There will be a visitation for Detective Ferency at the Hulman Center in Terre Haute later this afternoon. His funeral is set for tomorrow. Ferency was killed Wednesday during, what authorities are calling an “ambush” outside the FBI Indianapolis Resident Agency in Terre Haute. No one is offering any motive for the attack. The man charged with killing Ferency, Shane Meehan, is recovering from being shot during the attack, and he’s facing federal murder charges. The investigation is ongoing.
