(Undated) – It has been a busy summer at Pelican Cove and pools across the country, both public and private. Parents are reminded to keep a watchful eye on young kids. Health and safety experts remind the public that drowning doesn’t always look like it does in the movies and many times children can just slip under the water, without much splashing. The CDC says drowning is the second leading cause of accidental death in children under the age of 14. They also say it’s a great idea to take a CPR and first aid course if you have a pool.
