(Sullivan, IN) – Indiana authorities have released the identity of the man found dead in his vehicle Monday. Sullivan County Sheriff, Clark Cottom, says the man has been identified as Sullivan County Coroner, Tracy Tackett. Tackett had been the subject of an Indiana State Police investigation that began last Thursday. The investigation was prompted after a YouTube video containing criminal activity against Tackett was published. Authorities say the Indiana Crimes Against Children Unit had been notified as part of that investigation. An autopsy was conducted at 3 pm yesterday at Terre Haute Regional Hospital where the body was positively identified and the cause of death was determined to be a single self-inflicted gunshot wound.
