(Undated) – Another day, another surge in gas prices. According to the latest information from GasBuddy.com, the current national average has risen to $3.31 a gallon. That marks a dime jump from a week ago and a four-cent jump since Tuesday. Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick DeHaan, says the increase is a result of low production from OPEC and the continued surge in demand. The statewide average here in Illinois has risen to $3.44 a gallon. It’s $3.33 in Indiana. Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Mississippi are the only states with an average price at the pump of below three dollars a gallon.
