(Undated) – Soon kids statewide will be able to voluntarily get the COVID-19 vaccine. But should it be required to attend school? According to Illinois Governor, J.B. Pritzker, if a vaccine requirement ever comes, it will be decided by lawmakers.
The CDC recently gave the green light to the first COVID vaccine for younger children. An advisory panel overwhelmingly voted in favor of Pfizer’s shots for five to eleven-year-olds. The IDPH says the state is ready to roll out an expected 500,000 doses.
