(Indiana) – Our neighbors across the river could be the next state to legalize recreational cannabis. According to reports, the Indiana Democratic Party plans to push for marijuana legalization during the next legislative session. In addition, Republican State Representative, Jim Lucas, is working on two bills that support legalization. Currently, in Indiana possession of marijuana is punishable by up to 180 days in jail and a fine of up to one thousand dollars. Recreational marijuana sales continue to grow here in Illinois, where the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation reports sales have surpassed one-point-one billion dollars.
