Area Couple Sentenced After August Meth Arrest

(Undated) – An area couple arrested in August following a month-long multi-agency investigation have been sentenced to prison time. According to Crawford County State’s Attorney, Cole Shaner, twenty-six-year-old Alexandria Vernon was sentenced to a decade in the IDOC followed by a year and half of mandatory supervised release on a Class X Felony Charge of Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine. Thirty-year-old James Breen was also sentenced to ten years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by one year of mandatory supervised release on a Class X Felony charge of Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine. The Illinois Drug Task Force Assisted in the prosecution of these cases.
