NWS Issues Wind Advisory

(Undated) – It may be time to “batten down the hatches,” we are in for some windy weather. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory. The current forecast says we can expect to see south winds of 20 to 25 mph with gusts as high as 45 mph. The Wind Advisory includes Clark, Jasper, Crawford, Clay, Richland, and Lawrence Counties. The National Weather Service says gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, tree limbs could be blown down, and a few power outages may result. The Wind Advisory goes into effect at 3 pm this afternoon and will remain in place until 10 pm tonight.
