(Robinson) – The Robinson Police Department will begin “stepped up” holiday patrols Friday. According to Robinson Police Chief, Chad Weaver, with holiday festivities underway the Robinson Police Department will be joining departments statewide for an impaired driving awareness campaign through January 3rd. Weaver reminds the public it is never ok to drive impaired, even if you’ve only had one alcoholic beverage. He also says there is no such thing as “a little high.” If you are going to be celebrating with cannabis or alcohol designate a sober driver, use public transportation, a ride service or opt to spend the night. If you see someone who is impaired getting ready to drive, take their keys and help them get home safely.
