Weak Demand Keeping Gas Prices High

(Undated) – Weak demand appears to be keeping gas prices high. According to the latest numbers from GasBuddy.com, the current national average price for gas has risen three cents a gallon since Tuesday and now stands at $3.32. However, prices remain relatively unchanged for drivers in Illinois where the current statewide average stands at $3.44 a gallon. The price at the pump in Indiana has fallen since Tuesday by a penny and now stands at $3.19 a gallon. The states with the lowest average prices are Texas with $2.87, Oklahoma at $2.89, and Arkansas with $2.91. California, Hawaii, and Washington all have the highest gas prices in the country.
