Drive Safe During Winter Weather

winter-driving

(Undated) – We received the first real snowfall of the winter season last night and authorities are reminding drivers of some ways to make winter travel safer. Remember to drive distraction-free, do not use cruise control on snowy and icy roads, avoid tailgating, and know when to brake or steer to stay in control through the skid. If you don’t already have one, you should also put together a vehicle “Winter Survival Kit.” It should include a shovel, bottled water, extra clothes, cell phone and car adapter, flashlight, first aid kit, a blanket, and extra food.
