(Undated) – A Sangamon County court issued a temporary restraining order last week and effectively ended the statewide school mask mandate. Now the CDC is pleading with states not to drop school mask mandates. CDC Director, Rochelle Walensky, says now is not the moment. According to Walensky, their guidance hasn’t changed and they still recommend students mask up due to the high rate of new infections. A handful of other states are planning to make mitigation changes. Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, and Oregon plan to end their school mask mandates. California will also stop its indoor mandate next week and New York will reportedly do the same tomorrow, but not just yet for schools.
